From October 2016 onwards, Institut français offers a variety of programs for children aged 4-14.

Afterschool

We welcome young students at our brand new home in Yrjönkatu 36, Helsinki in our After school program. The weekly one-hour class is adapted for beginners or more advanced students, who can discover French and have fun right after their school day!

The after school club meets 8 times from October 24 to December 17.

Tuesdays 10.30 –11.30 (4–6-years old) 

Tuesdays 14.45 –16. 15 (7–10 years old)

Wednesdays 14.45–16.15 (11–14-years old)

Price  : 190€ (1h/week for 8 weeks)

Tutoring Thursdays!

On Thursdays, a tutoring program with a native teacher helps children of all ages with their French lessons and homework as well as defining their own learning strategies.This course is also suitable for children with learning disabilities (dyslexia or dysorthographia), or the visually impaired.

Thursdays 14.30–16.00 (no age limit)

Price : 240€ (1h30/week for 8 weeks)

 

Autumn break in French

Institut français also offers a French week for children during the autumn school break. In the morning, in the classroom, students practice their speaking skills, discover French language and culture through games and fun activities. The afternoons are spent outside doing activities related to the morning classes’ themes. Excursions include the Natural History Museum, Annantalo, Hakaniemi’s market.

On Tuesdays, young students participate in a musical workshop with trumpeter Thomas Bugnot from the Helsinki philharmonic orchestra and cellist Barbara Mussafia-Bugnot, where they learn about instruments, rhythm and music.

Monday to Thursday 9.30–15.30 (Friday 9.30–12.45.) – 4-7 years old and 8-12 years old
