The French Institute of Finland welcomes two cycles of lectures next October and November.

Cycle on the Finnish Artists in Paris in the XIXth century

The chosen places of residence of the artists explain their work and their situation in society a lot. The addresses where the Finnish artists lived in Paris reveal a multitude of informations which allow us to reconstitute parts of their life and to understand the influence of their environnement on their work. This cycle of lectures is conducted by the historian of the art Laura Gutman:

– On Tuesday, 1st and Thursday, October 3rd, 2013, 5 pm: Albert Edelft – 147, avenue de Villiers

– On Tuesday, 8 and Thursday, October 10th, 2013, 5 pm: Akseli Gallen-Kallela-9, rue Ménessier

– On Tuesday, 22 and Thursday, October 24th, 2013, 17 hours 5 pm: city Vallgren-233 bis, street of the faubourg Saint-Honoré

The conferences will be given in French every Tuesdays and in English every Thursday.
