Big Data and Smart Cities -konferenssi on osa neljän yleisölle avoimen konferenssin sarjaa, jonka Ranskan diplomaattiset edustot pohjoismaissa järjestävät vuonna 2017.

Ranskan suurlähetystöt sekä Ranskan instituutit Norjassa, Ruotsissa, Tanskassa ja Suomessa organisoivat konferenssisarjan Big Data -teemalla.

Jokainen osallistuva maa isännöi yhtä teemaa, johon Big Data on vaikuttanut, sekä kertoo tutkimuksen nykyisestä tilanteesta :

  • Big Data and energy: Norja
  • Big Data and agriculture: Tanska
  • Big Data and health: Ruotsi
  • Big Data and smart cities: Suomi

Konferenssissa on mukana useita alansa ranskalaisia ja suomalaisia huippututkijoita sekä sidosryhmien edustajia: tutkjioita, yrityksiä, yhdistyksiä ja kaupunkien edustajia.

Tapahtuma tarjoaa myös mahdollisuuksia järjestää kahdenvälisiä tapaamisia Ranskan ja Suomen välisen yhteistyön edistämiseksi.
