A Night of Philosophy is 12 hours of exceptional speeches, free-flying ideas and art experiences, from seven in the evening until seven in the morning on September 2nd. 20-minute speeches, surprising performances and music continue through the night, and there will be nourishment for the body as well. Participants include Finnish and international philosophers from the top of their trade. Guests from France include renowned philologist and philosopher Barbara Cassin and the multi-talented pianist-composer Karol Beffa.

A Night of Philosophy has already charmed night owls in New York, Paris, London and Berlin. The event is the brainchild of French-born philosopher, dramaturge and theatre director Mériam Korichi.

Let yourself be guided by chance or pick the most titillating aspects of the night in advance. A more detailed programme will be published during August.

The event is free of charge and a part of the Helsinki Festival program. French Institute is an official partner of the event.
