La Nuit des Idées est un évènement culturel international organisé par l’Institut français. Cet évènement a vu le jour à Paris en 2016. En 2017, il a été organisé simultanément dans plus de 30 villes dans le monde, dont Helsinki pour la première fois. Toutes les villes se sont ralliées autour du thème « Un monde commun », illustré par des évènements avec des artistes, experts, journalistes et chercheurs.

La deuxième édition finlandaise de la Nuit des Idées aura lieu le jeudi 25 janvier 2018 à Helsinki. Au programme cette année, quatre événements différents qui auront lieu à l’Institut français même ou dans des salles avoisinantes en plein cœur de la ville, autour du thème de cette édition : « L’imagination au pouvoir ». La programmation regroupe des projections de films documentaires, des performances artistiques, et des tables rondes auxquelles participeront des artistes, experts et personnalités français et finlandais.
