The Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris will host, from the 11th of October 2017 to the 5th of March 2018, 200 masterworks belonging to the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art of New York), one of the first museums devoted to visual arts of the time. “Being Modern” is a journey through decades and defining artistic movements thanks to the paintings, sculptures, photographs, design objects, films, prints and digital works which illustrate the diversity of the museum’s collections and it’s history. Among these works, some displayed in France for the very first time, we can see artists such as Paul Cézanne, Yvonne Rainer, Gustav Klimt, Yayoi Kusama, Edward Hopper, Kerry James Marshall, and Andy Warhol. Designed according to the architecture and the spaces of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the “Being Modern” exhibition was thought as a fluid circuit through the times and the memorable artistic movements of modern art.
