During the current Magritte exhibition Amos Rex will be hosting the complete series of Fantômas silent movies by Louis Feuillade every Monday until 11 March. All films with French texts and English subtitles.

Screenings are included in the museum admission fee.

Fantômas is the hero of books created by Pierre Souvestre and Marcel Allain, used by Louis Feuillade for a series of films in 1913-1914. This “genius of crime”, this “elusive” character had haunted René Magritte since his childhood and demonstrates the influence of silent film in Magritte’s work.
