The movie « Rodin » by director Jacques Doillon will be released in Finland on Friday 19th of January 2018. With Vincent Lindon as Auguste Rodin, the movie recounts the life of the famous French sculptor and his relationship with his student sculptor Camille Claudel, played by Izïa Higelin.

The French Institute is pleased to invite you to the premiere of the movie Rodin, which will take place on Thursday the 18th of January at 5.30 pm at the Kinopalatsi 2 (Kaisaniemenkatu 2).

In 1880, Rodin is 40 and has already made a mark on people’s minds with his talent as a sculptor. Recognition from the French state will finally come with the commissioned realization of The Gates of Hell, which includes The Kiss and The Thinker, his most famous works. While he has been living with his partner Rose for years, he meets the very talented Camille Claudel, a sculptor he will train and with whom he will live a ten years of passion…
