On Sunday November 5 we honoured the memory of René Goscinny. The talented comic strip writer was born in 1926 in Paris and died at the age of 51 in 1977. He has written many comics, collaborated with several comic strip artists, and co-founded the youth magazine Pilote. His characters have been loved by generations of readers: who doesn’t know Astérix or Petit Nicolas?
The love for Astérix has never stopped, he is one of readers’ favourite characters. A new album, Astérix et la Transitalique, has been published in France, on October 19, and a Finnish translation, Kilpa-ajo halki Italian, was published on October 26, during the Helsinki Book Fair.
