In the framework of the Maupertuis program funded by the French Institute in Finland, the Embassy of France in Finland, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Finnish Society of Science and Letters, l’Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie (IRAP) (CNRS-Université de Toulouse) et and the University of Oulu will organise a French-Finnish bilateral workshop at the Finnish Meteorological Institute «Space Weather Effects on the Ionosphere and Radio Wave Propagation in the Arctic »

Workshop Program : Space Weather Effects on the Ionosphere and Radio Wave Propagation in the Arctic

Prof Anita Aikio, University of Oulu, Finland

Dr Aurélie Marchaudon, IRAP, Toulouse, France

Date and place of the workshop

25-26 Sep 2019, Finnish Meteorological Institute, Helsinki, Finland

The workshop brings together researchers from Finland and France to strengthen and widen to new

institutes and enterprises our cutting edge scientific research of Space Weather effects on the upper

atmosphere and radio wave propagation in the Arctic region, to discuss future co-operation in higher

education including mobility of students and double degrees, and to explore innovation aspects and technology transfer rising from our research.
