As part of the Maupertuis funding program for the France-Finland cooperation, the Institut Français in Finland is supporting, along with the Finnish Society for Science and Letters and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the organization of the synchrotron collaboration research-innovation-training workshop that will be held on the 11th and 12th of June 2018. It is organized by the University of Helsinki as well as the University of Aalto.
Objectives of the workshop:
- Strengthen current collaboration between Finnish Universities and synchrotron radiation facilities/laboratories in France on X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy applications in research.
- Initiate potential new collaboration between the participants.
- Demonstrate and validate long term perspectives in innovative actinide research by concretely collaborating on experimental device development for nuclear fuel characterizations
