Founded in 1919 by famous pianist Alfred Cortot the École Normale de Musique de Paris-Alfred Cortot welcomes each year more than one thousand students from over fifty countries.

New students must pass an audition at the beginning of the year to confirm their admission and then to determine their specific level in the curriculum as well as the complementary mandatory disciplines that they will take.
