In the framework of the funding program for France-Finland cooperation, the Institut Français in Finland is supporting, with the Finnish Society for Science and Letters and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the organization of the «Holographic dense QCD and neutron stars» research/training/innovation workshop which will be held from the 23rd to the 25th of November in Paris. It is organized by the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Paris and the HIP (Helsinki Institute of Physics) of the University of Helsinki.

The aim of this fourth and last workshop supported by this program in 2017 will be to strengthen and further develop scientific and academic (student mobility and double degree) collaboration between the two institutions regarding theoretical and applied physics: quarks and nuclear matter systems, heavy ions collision and neutron stars holography. The presence of private partners, such as the Finnish supercomputing center CSC will also help make the connection between research and innovation.

Almost 20 researchers will take part in this French-Finnish workshop, some of them travelling from Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, in order to discuss a potential collaboration and European financings between institutions excelling in these fields.
