Ring-making Workshop

Dive into the world of jewelry design and discover the fascinating lost-wax casting technique in this workshop for two participants! The workshop is led by jewelry designer Oriane Selvais.

Duration: 2h30
Languages: French / English
Minimum age: 15 years old
Number of participants: 2 people per workshop
Price: €180 per person (€360 for the full 2-person workshop, rings included)

During this 2.5-hour workshop, you will learn how to design and sculpt your own organic wax ring before it is cast in sterling silver (925 silver). Inspired by living forms and movement, this technique allows you to create unique, entirely handmade jewelry pieces.

Suitable for beginners as well as anyone curious about craftsmanship and jewelry making, this workshop takes place in a small group of only two participants — perfect to enjoy as a duo (mother/daughter, friends, couple, etc.)!

Workshop Program
  • Introduction to the lost-wax casting technique and the jewelry-making process
  • Discovery of the tools and introduction to different sculpting techniques (files, scalpels, candles, compasses, spatulas)
  • Finger measurement
  • Sculpting and shaping your wax ring

After the workshop, Oriane will take care of the casting process with the foundry, as well as the finishing and polishing. Your 925 silver ring will be ready for collection at the French Institute of Finland approximately two weeks after the workshop.

After several years working in the fashion and luxury industries, Oriane Selvais trained at the Haute École de Joaillerie in Paris to explore the many facets of jewelry making. She developed a particular affinity for the lost-wax technique, which offers great creative freedom and allows her to express organic forms inspired by nature and movement. Her unique 925 silver pieces are handmade and cast by artisans in Paris and in Kotka, Finland.
