They organise activities and events, develop partnerships, and contribute to the library\u2019s visitor numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are also responsible for monitoring the collections, handling returned books, and keeping the library organised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Library Programming and Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase the library\u2019s visitor numbers and appeal, taking into account the expectations and needs of its audiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote the library\u2019s spaces and collections by developing projects and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a range of paid activities and services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the library shop and coffee area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Talks and Debates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design and organise talks, debates, lectures and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and invite authors, experts, associations and other relevant speakers or personalities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage discussion, participation and interaction among different audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Partnerships and Collaborations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify, develop and maintain a network of partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build partnerships and joint projects with external organisations and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Library Space and Collection Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the library and report any issues or malfunctions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handle returned books and ensure that materials are properly shelved and organised.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain the collections, including classification, presentation, repairs and replacement of damaged or missing items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select and order new books and other materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Candidate Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking for a dynamic, independent and curious person who is proactive and enjoys interacting with the public.
