New: Finnish courses at the French Institute

Starting in March 2026, the French Institute of Finland will expand its language courses by launching Finnish courses for French speakers as well as for anyone wishing to learn Finnish. To get started, we will offer two beginner-friendly formats:

Finnish Conversation Clubs

Practice speaking Finnish regularly at the Institute
Vocabulary and feedback from a qualified teacher
Designed for beginner and elementary levels (A1–A2)
A different theme for each session (culture, travel, cinema, music, etc.)
€20 / session or €14 for students

Online Finnish for Native French Speakers

Discover the basics of Finnish remotely (levels A0-A1)
Native Finnish Teacher who knows French and the challenges faced by French-speaking learners
Suitable for complete beginners
On Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 24 to May 19 | 245 €

Access to the Institute and its interior spaces is adapted for persons with reduced mobility. However, please note that the ramp leading to the entrance is steep and requires the help of an assistant for wheelchair users. Unfortunately, the restrooms are not accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
