Welcome to the library !

Greetings from the library, from our new premises on Tehtaankatu street! The library’s activities continue as usual, but a short introduction to the new spaces will surely not hurt. A warm welcome to all our past and new readers: the library is open for you!

If you’re still wondering how our library works, here’s a quick overview:

• You can get a free library membership on site by presenting a valid ID.
• Our collection focuses especially on novels, comics, and children’s books. You can also borrow items such as board games, pétanque balls, and even a raclette machine!
• The loan period for books is 4 weeks.
• The library is an open space for everyone! During opening hours, you’re welcome to use it, for example for reading, studying, playing board games, or simply hanging out with a friend.

Library space

The library is now even brighter and more spacious than before! You can work comfortably at the workstations, immerse yourself in books in cozy armchairs, or, if you wish, retreat to a calm space in our so-called “sauna.”

Café

Something new at the library: a cup of coffee to brighten your reading moments! At the institute’s café, you can get a coffee and a biscuit for just 2 euros.

Many new and interesting books have arrived at the library, and the list can be found below. The loan period for new books is 4 weeks, just like for other books, but they cannot be renewed so that as many people as possible can enjoy them.
