During the Francophonie Month of 2025, we had the privilege of discovering the touching stories of young immigrants studying at the vocational high school Jean-Baptiste Corot in Beauvais, Northern France. By learning a new profession and mastering the French language, they are building new lives for themselves in France.
For the 2026 edition, a new generation of students takes the floor. The second part of the exhibition will be presented at the French Institute of Finland from March 27 to April 12, revealing new faces, new voices, and new journeys. Each photograph, video, and text on display tells a powerful story of resilience, growth, and achievement.
This year, the exhibition is even more deeply rooted in the places that have shaped these paths: the city of Beauvais, which has become the students’ new home, as well as the landscapes crossed between the students’ countries of origin and France. This sensitive connection takes shape in a poetic guide to the city and in images of memory-filled places—fragments of stories still unfolding.
The exhibition, available in French and in English, is open during the library’s opening hours:
Tuesday–Wednesday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Please note that the exhibition may be temporarily taken down during certain events held at the Institute and will be reinstalled at the latest by noon the following day. We recommend checking our events calendar to ensure the exhibition is accessible at the time of your visit.
