As part of Helsinki Day, the French Institute of Finland is offering contemporary dance workshops led by Inka Auvinen, a professional dancer with a degree from the University of the Arts (Helsinki) and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London).
The workshops will begin with a warm-up, during which you’ll get familiar with the space and the other participants. The warm-up will be followed by exercises that will help you to learn how to follow the music through improvisation. No prior dance experience is required to join the workshops. No previous dance experience is required to participate.
As the theme of the day is ‘by young people, for young people’, the workshops are primarily aimed at 15–28-year-olds.
Inka speaks fluent French as well as Finnish and English.
Free entry upon registration. The time slots and registration links will be published on this page soon.
