Introduction to Gender-Neutral Language
This educational resource aims to provide theoretical tools for understanding gender and number distinctions in the French language, particularly through the use of pronouns and agreement rules. It includes practical examples and also addresses differences related to the use of the subjunctive, as well as certain specific cases, such as proximity agreement, in order to facilitate students’ learning.
The course also includes an introduction to the evolution of language through inclusive writing and to the concept of a gender-neutral pronoun, which is already present in the Finnish language. As a reminder, a gender-neutral pronoun was officially introduced in Sweden in 2015, and its use has been gradually developing in France.

French-Language Sports Teaching Resource
Within DNL teaching (teaching a subject through a foreign language, in this case French), we suggest developing four main language skills with your students.
Listening comprehension (CO) involves understanding information provided through instructions or spoken contributions.
Reading comprehension (CE) is the students’ ability to understand written texts or documents.
Oral production (PO) corresponds to the ability to express oneself in the target language by presenting, describing or arguing.
Written production (PE) corresponds to the ability to write summaries or descriptions using the vocabulary specific to the subject.
These four skills complement one another and enable students to use the subject as a genuine tool for language learning.
