French musicians Julien Stella and Bastien Weeger will perform in Villa Hakasalmi on the 21st of July, in the context of an artistic residency in Finland.
By playing with rhythms and textures, they reinvent the way they play their respective instruments, clarinet and saxophone. Their music is an invitation to travel, with Celtic, Armenian and Berber inspirations.
The duo was notably the 2019 laureate of the Jazz Migration project, that aims to spot young talents on today’s jazz scene.
