As part of our successful Pardon My French evenings, dedicated to contemporary French music, we invite you to a new night with DJ Poupée on May 21 at Bar tÿpo!
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album Discovery by the French duo Daft Punk, this eighth edition will feature a selection of French Touch alongside the best of French hip-hop—plus our famous music quiz to put your knowledge of French music to the test. The winning team will receive a small prize from the bar! The quiz will be held in Finnish and French.
Entry to the bar is free and no sign-up is required. Bring your friends and get ready to enjoy some of the best francophone music out there!
DJ Poupée (Tatiana Järvenpää) is known for her radio show on Francophone music, Poupée de son. Through this program, she has introduced the Finnish music scene to a unique and eclectic mix of Francophone sounds, still unfamiliar to many.
Her playlists feature carefully curated tracks, exploring a wide range of genres—from pop to new wave, electro to rap. Her DJ sets are like a colorful mosaic of melodies from the Francophone world, bursting with energy and surprises. Expect to hear the latest hits, along with timeless classics that always get people dancing!
