The French Institute of Finland is turning a new page, and we’re delighted to announce we’re moving to Tehtaankatu 27, 00150 Helsinki, starting August 15!
Located in the beautiful district of Eira, our new premises will allow us to improve the quality of our services with more spacious classrooms and a more welcoming library, featuring a large exhibition and screening area.
While our address is changing, our mission remains the same: we’ll continue to offer French courses, weekly cultural events, and access to a French-language library.
Our new location is just 15 minutes from Kamppi and the central railway station. It’s easily accessible via tram lines 1, 3, and 6, as well as bus lines 20 and 30, which serve the area.
If you’re coming by car, parking is available on Bulevardi and Lönnrotinkatu.
The Institute will be on the 4th floor. There are two ways to enter the Institute:
- Main entrance on Tehtaankatu (access via stairs)
- The elevator located in the inner courtyard, accessible through a big archway next to the main entrance
For visitors with reduced mobility, we recommend using the elevator entrance in the inner courtyard.
If you have any questions about the move, feel free to contact us at institut@france.fi — our team is here to help ensure a smooth transition.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our new space and to continue sharing the French language and culture with you!
P.S. Stay tuned — we’ll be hosting an official opening of the new premises in 2025, and you’re warmly invited! More info coming soon.
