Meet the alumni who will share their career journeys at FrancoPro!

Aino Aho, Global Category Marketing Manager at Suunto
At the FrancoPro fair, multilingual Finnish professional Aino Aho will share her personal story of how the French language has been a constant companion throughout her life and career. For Aino, French is far more than just a skill – it has been a key to building meaningful relationships, seizing professional opportunities, and deepening cultural understanding.

Aino grew up in Brussels, where French was her first language. Although her family later moved to Finland and she entered the Finnish school system, she eventually returned to francophone education and graduated from the Franco-Finnish School of Helsinki. The friendships and shared experiences tied to the French language during those years still hold a lasting place in her life.

Today, Aino works as Global Marketing Manager at Suunto. While she primarily works in Finnish and English, her command of French remains a valuable asset: she communicates fluently with French-speaking colleagues, reviews marketing material for the French market, and often serves as a bridge between Helsinki and francophone teams. In her previous roles at Valio and Business France, she also used French regularly in client meetings, events, and trade fairs – including the SIAL trade show in Paris.

According to Aino, speaking French not only opens doors professionally but also enriches human relationships and intercultural exchanges – whether in friendships or in the workplace. Her journey shows how language skills can broaden horizons and advance a career in countless ways.
