This year, the Month of Francophonie is getting a fresh new look, and we are delighted to announce the very first event of the programme: Abysskiss in concert at the French Institute of Finland!
A rising name on the French jazz scene, this retro-futuristic quartet released its debut album in 2022 and has already received awards from the French Jazz Academy as well as from the prestigious Jazz Magazine.
Mastering five different instruments, this pocket orchestra unfolds an impressive sound palette characterized by a music that is at the same time both deep and remarkably light. Above all, it is finely crafted music, where jazz leaves room for chanson, folk, and contemporary influences — music that aims to make people feel good, in the artists’ own words.
