Our group classes offer the perfect blend of structure, interactivity, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you can choose the format that suits you best: textbook-based classes or conversation courses, held either in-person at the Institute or online.
No matter the format, the goal remains the same: to help you speak French with confidence and ease in real-life situations!
Practical information
- Our textbook-based classes follow a clear learning path using the Cosmopolite textbook, allowing you to work on all key language skills: comprehension, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Conversation classes also engage all language skills, with a special focus on speaking through lively discussions based on a variety of materials selected by the teacher.

Children’s courses offer activities that are both fun and educational, conducted entirely in French: learning happens through play while being fully immersed in the language.
- To ensure effective learning, group sizes are limited to a maximum of 8 or 15 students (depending on the course). We recommend signing up early to secure your spot!
- Course starting dates: January / March / June / August / October
- Enroll anytime throughout the year — directly on this page or by booking an appointment via cours@france.fi for personalized guidance and a level assessment.
- In person or online: Depending on the course, you can choose to attend on-site, online, or in hybrid (hyflex) format.
- A motivating learning environment: Our qualified and experienced teachers guide you in small groups (8 to 15 students max, depending on the course) in a friendly and interactive atmosphere.
- 100% in French from day one: Courses are taught entirely in French, even at beginner level, for effective immersion — with just a touch of Finnish or English when needed!
