Events we can host at the Institute
Among the types of events that the Institute can host, you can find:
- Exhibitions
- Workshops (dance, comics, visual arts, etc.)
- Conferences
- DJ events and small concerts (with your own instruments)
Our spaces are not suitable for performing arts (theatre, circus, etc.) that require a stage and specialized equipment.
If you work in these fields and wish to present a French performance in Finland, please contact our Cultural Projects Officer at sofia.aberg@france.fi to obtain relevant contacts in Finland.
Size and capacity
The Institute has a large event space and three classrooms, which can host cultural events individually or simultaneously.
Library / Event Space
- Our main location for organizing events
- Suitable for both longer exhibitions and one-time events (workshops, small concerts, etc.)
- Size and capacity: 100 m², accommodating up to 100 people standing or 60 seated
Classrooms
- The classrooms are particularly suited for small workshops or formats that encourage interaction with the audience. They can also complement a larger event, for example, by serving as a cocktail space
- Sizes and capacities: 22–41 m², accommodating 12 to 30 people depending on the room and layout (tables, chairs).
