⏰ 14:00 → 16:30

The French Institute in Finland invites you to Sparks of Science, a lively and engaging event bringing together researchers from Francophone countries who are contributing to research in Finland.

Over the course of an afternoon, move from one scientific world to another through short talks, demonstrations and workshops designed for all audiences. These brief, lively and accessible formats will introduce you to the diversity of the researchers’ work, disciplines and career paths — and, above all, give you the opportunity to meet the people who advance science every day and talk with them directly about the questions that inspire them.

An invitation to see the world around us from new perspectives, understand how knowledge is created, and discover research through the people who carry it out.

Based in universities, laboratories and research institutions across the country, these researchers work alongside their Finnish and international colleagues to advance knowledge and open up new perspectives on the world around us.

On the programme: short presentations, an open stage dedicated to research in Finland, as well as the opportunity to explore a range of workshops and demonstrations.

The guests, themes of this new edition and the detailed programme will be announced soon on this page.

Sparks of Science is an afternoon for experimenting, asking questions and being surprised — in French and open to everyone: French speakers, learners of French and anyone with a curious mind are warmly welcome.

Research in Finland speaks French too. Come and discover all its sparks!
