The France-Nokia Chaire d’Excellence offers a unique opportunity for scholars from France to engage in an international research collaboration with Finland.
The Chaire d’Excellence position can engage in a variety of professional activities, such as:
- research collaboration in an international environment,
- writing joint publications with Finnish colleagues,
- teaching and lecturing,
- mentoring student research at the master and doctoral level, and
- developing international exchange collaboration between French and Finnish institutions.
Candidates should be eminent scholars and have a prominent record of scholarly accomplishment, including a significant publication record.
The collaboration is also expected to explore potential longer-term cooperation between France and Finland.
A minimum visiting period of four months is required, which can be divided into a maximum of two periods. The mobility can take place in 2026 or in 2027. The Chaire d’Excellence position is jointly funded by the Nokia Foundation (EUR 20,000) and the French home institution of the visiting researcher (EUR 20,000).
