1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the sale of tickets for events organised by the French Institute in Finland (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Organiser’) via its website or any ticket sales platform.
Any ticket order implies unreserved acceptance of these GTS.

3. Event details
The essential details of the events (date, time, location, content, price and any restrictions) are indicated on the website or ticketing platform.
The Organizer reserves the right to change the program. In the event of a substantial change, ticket holders will be informed as soon as possible.
4. Prices
Prices are quoted in euros. The purchaser must pay additional service charges, including all taxes. In the event of cancellation by the organizer, service charges are non-refundable.
The Organizer reserves the right to change prices at any time. Tickets are charged at the rate in force at the time of booking.
Reduced rates may be subject to the presentation of valid proof of eligibility at the entrance.
5. Ordering and payment
Tickets can be ordered online via the Organizer’s website or via a ticketing platform.
Payment is made using the methods offered at the time of ordering.
The order becomes final after confirmation of payment. An electronic ticket is sent to the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided when ordering.
6. Use of tickets
Each ticket is valid only for the event, date and time indicated.
Tickets may be checked at the entrance to the event. The Organizer may refuse access in the event of an invalid, forged or previously used ticket.
Unless otherwise stated, tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
7. No right of withdrawal
In accordance with European legislation on distance contracts, tickets for cultural or leisure events taking place on a specific date or during a specific period are not subject to the right of withdrawal.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation by the Organizer:
In the event of cancellation of an event, tickets will be refunded or postponed in accordance with the terms and conditions communicated to purchasers. If the event organizer uses a ticketing agent to refund the cost of a cancelled event, the refund costs shall be borne by the organizer.
Substantial modification:
In the event of a significant modification to the event, the purchaser may request a refund of the ticket.
Interruption due to force majeure:
In the event of an interruption due to an event beyond the Organizer’s control (natural disaster, fire), refunds may be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation by the customer:
Unless otherwise specified, no refunds will be made in the event of the customer being unable to attend.
9. Access to events
Access to events may be subject to specific rules relating to security, delays or capacity.
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse access or exclude any person whose behavior disrupts the smooth running of the event or compromises the safety of other participants or staff.
10. Liability
The Organizer is responsible for organizing the event in accordance with applicable legislation.
The Organizer cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure or events beyond its control.
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings during the events.
These provisions do not exclude the mandatory rights granted to consumers under Finnish law.
11. Personal data
Personal data collected in connection with ticket purchases is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Finnish legislation. This data is used solely for the following purposes:
- Order management.
- Communication with participants regarding the event.
- Customer analysis.
- Sending a satisfaction survey to gather participants’ opinions.
12. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These T&Cs are subject to Finnish law.
In the event of a dispute, the customer is invited to contact the Organizer in the first instance to seek an amicable solution.
The customer may also refer to:

– the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta)

If no amicable agreement can be reached, disputes shall be referred to the competent Finnish courts.
