The French Institute’s summer clubs are back!
Our summer clubs allow your child to practice and learn French through engaging classroom activities at the Institute, as well as cultural activities in the Helsinki area.

Who can participate?
Our summer clubs are designed for children aged 7 to 12 and are suitable for all language levels. Although the activities are conducted in French, no prior knowledge is required; the teacher will adapt exercises and interactions to each child’s level.
Program
Our 5-day summer clubs run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mornings are dedicated to classroom-based educational activities, while afternoons are devoted to cultural outings in the Helsinki area, allowing children to practice French in real-life situations.
Example of the 2025 cultural program in French:
- Monday: guided tour of the Media Museum Merkki
- Tuesday: guided tour of the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress
- Wednesday: workshop at the Oodi Library
- Thursday: guided tour of Vanhankaupunginkoski, the founding site of the city of Helsinki
- Friday: guided tour of the Talvipuutarha Winter Garden
What is included in the price?
The price of €345 includes:
- High-quality teaching by a teacher specialized in teaching French to children, supported by an assistant
- Teaching materials
- Entry tickets for cultural visits
Families must provide their children with lunch and public transport tickets.
