EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE ACADÉMIE DE REIMS AND FINLAND

General information on the Finn’Est 2026 exchange

Finn’Est is a school mobility program between the Académie de Reims (France) and Finland.

Dates:

  • For 2 weeks, from 07/02/2026 to 21/02/2026: the Finnish student stays in the Académie de Reims.
  • For 2 weeks, from 04/04/2026 to 18/04/2026: the French student stays in Finland.

General conditions

The exchange of 2 weeks (Finnish) / 2 weeks (French) is based on reciprocity and allows French and Finnish high school students to experience a linguistic, cultural, and academic immersion. Each Finnish high school student goes to the high school of his/her French pen pal, attends classes with him/her, and lives with his/her family.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications from students living alone at the time of the exchange will not be considered.

Conditions

  • Entering class 9, 10, or 11 at the time of the exchange (between 15 and 18 years old).
  • Minimum language level A2 in English.
  • Minimum language level A1 in French.
  • Open-minded, independent, and responsible.
  • Must live with their family at the time of the exchange.
  • Have the agreement of their parents.
  • Have handed out the documents on time.

How to apply?

  1. Starting from 25/08/2025: If one of my students is interested in participating in this program, I click on  to download the necessary application documents.

This link will direct you to two files to download:

  • The certificate of acceptance, which needs to be signed by the school principal at my school.
  • The parental consent that needs to be signed by the family.

2. I fill in the certificate of acceptance, then the school principal at my school has to sign it.

3. I send the parental consent and this link to the students’ family:

4. I collect the parental consent and the certificate of acceptance and send them back to mobilite@france.fi BEFORE November, 10th

Calendar:

  • August 25, 2025: call for applications in France and Finland
  • November 10, 2025: application deadline
  • From November 20, 2025: sending of contacts: the referent teacher will receive the contact of the French teacher. They are responsible for contacting the French teacher to send them their student’s file.
  • From 07/02/2026 to 21/02/2026: reception of Finnish pupils
  • From 04/04/2026 to 18/04/2026: reception of French pupils
