Campus France promotes French higher education and offers information and assistance to students who want to continue their postsecondary studies in France. Campus France functions worldwide in 124 countries. In Finland, Campus France has had its office since 2004. The mission of Campus France is to counsel and to provide information on study programmes, language requirements, application procedures, as well as questions related to life as a student in France.

Summer School : prepare a student exchange in France!

The Institut français de Finlande offers universities the possibility to design a specific online course of 15 hours for their students involved in an exchange program with a French university.
This online course offers a survival kit for any student going to France: the aim is to give is to provide guidance in the understanding of French in daily life situations, in French culture and cultural habits, and to allow your students to quickly settle in his new French life.

  • An introductory course of France to survive in France (9 h)
    The virtual classes are organised in units of 1h30 and focus on everyday life communication (introduce oneself, buy something, order in a restaurant, etc.).
    The content can be adapted to fit the requirements of an A1 level, an A2 level or a B1 level.
    The class is based on intense interactions. Complementary material will be given to the students who wish to work outside of the class.
  • Cultural workshops (4h) (in English)
    The content of these workshops can be adapted to the needs and interests of your students and your program:
    -gastronomy workshop (réalisation d’une recette, dégustations, spécialités régionales, etc.)
    -cinema workshop
    -literature workshop
    -French songs workshop
    -introductory workshop on everydaylife aspects of French culture
    These workshop can also be taught in French if the students have an intermediate level (A2-B1).
  • A lecture adapted to your public (2h) (in English)
    This lecture can deal with:
    -aspects of French administrative life (regarding social security, bank account opening, housing, etc.)
    -aspects of professional life (finding an internship, discovering the main French firms present internationally, etc.)
    -aspects of student’s life at university
    -intercultural in professional world
    -any other aspects meeting the needs or interests of your students
