DELF Scolaire

DELF Scolaire – what is it?

DELF Scolaire is an official diploma of French language proficiency, designed for children and teenagers, issued by the French Ministry of Education and approved internationally.

DELF Scolaire (Diploma of French Language Studies for Schools – Diplôme d’études en langue française pour les écoles) is an examination taken directly in a school of the Finnish education system. Its aim is to certify a level of proficiency in the French language for the pupils of the school. DELF Scolaire is based on an agreement between the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Finland and Finnish schools.

Depending on the age of the candidates, the exam papers of DELF Scolaire consist of the papers of DELF Prim or DELF Junior.

DELF Prim is designed for children aged 8 to 11, and DELF Junior for children aged 11 to 18.

These exams certify five levels (A1.1, A1, A2, B1, B2) in four skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.
